Today: Up with hope, down with dope. Power to the people; which damn people...
On August 19, 1791, after departing the federal capital area, Banneker wrote a letter to Thomas Jefferson, who in 1776 had drafted the United States Declaration of Independence:
…Sir, how pitiable is it to reflect, that although you were so fully convinced of the benevolence of the Father of Mankind, and of his equal and impartial distribution of these rights and privileges, which he hath conferred upon them, that you should at the same time counteract his mercies, in detaining by fraud and violence so numerous a part of my brethren, under groaning captivity and cruel oppression, that you should at the same time be found guilty of that most criminal act, which you professedly detested in others, with respect to yourselves.
Sir, I shall conclude, and subscribe myself, with the most profound respect, Your most obedient humble servant,

Litigating Two Decades...

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 1:43 PM Comments comments (18)
My effort to recover $50 Billion of art stolen from Blacks and Black institutions, has spanned two decades. The litigation has exposed complicity by the Justice Department: they seek to protect their informants; Rep. Johns Lewis (D-GA), William "Bill" Cosby, Dr. David Driskell, Dr. Richard Powell, etc. These individuals enriched themselves ($2 Billion-stolen art) and assisted in the transfer of $10 Billion-stolen art to the Smithsonian Institution. The Smithsonian is a private institution that used the stolen art to bribe members of Congress. How did the Smithsonian receive a quarter Billion $$$ dollars in Stimulus Funds? The Smithsonian has the same protections as a federal agency; but it is private, and their Board of Regents: Chief Justice, US Supreme Court; 3 US Senators: 3 US Congressmen; and nine civilians representing the most powerful corporations in the world. Facts are detailed after 9/11: in my book, I AM NO ORDINARY NEGRO! Currently details may be researched at:, read my Blog - When We Were Negroes, by C.E. Richardson.

Back When We Were Negroes....

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 11:31 AM Comments comments (32)
Back when we were Negroes in the 1950s, “only 9 percent of black families with children were headed by a single parent,” according to “The Black Family: 40 Years of Lies” by Kay Hymowitz. “Black children had a 52 percent chance of living with both their biological parents until age 17. In 1959, “only 2 percent of black children were reared in households in which the mother never married.” But now that we’re African-Americans, according to Hymowitz, those odds of living with both parents had “dwindled to a mere 6 percent” by the mid-1980s. And check this, in Bibb County, more than 70 percent of the births in the African-American community are to single mothers.
Back when we were Negroes and still fighting in many parts of the country for the right to vote, we couldn’t wait for the polls to open. We knew our friends, family and acquaintances had died getting us the ballot. Dogs and fire hoses were used to keep us away and still we came. But now that we’re African-Americans, in a city of 47,000 registered — predominately black voters — more than 30,000 didn’t show up at the polls July 19.
Back when we were Negroes, we had names like Joshua, Aaron, Paul, Esther, Melba, Cynthia and Ida. Now that we are African Americans, our names are bastardized versions of alcohol from Chivas to Tequila to C(S)hardonney. And chances the names have an unusual spelling.
Back when we were Negroes, according to the Trust For America’s Health’s “F as in Fat,” report, “only four states had diabetes rates above 6 percent. … The hypertension rates in 37 states about 20 years ago were more than 20 percent.” Now that we’re African-Americans, that report shows, “every state has a hypertension rate of more than 20 percent, with nine more than 30 percent. Forty-three states have diabetes rates of more than 7 percent, and 32 have rates above 8 percent. Adult obesity rates for blacks topped 40 percent in 15 states, 35 percent in 35 states and 30 percent in 42 states and Washington, D.C.
Back when we were Negroes, the one-room church was the community center that everyone used. Now that we’re African-Americans, our churches have lavish — compared to back-in-the-day churches — community centers that usually sit empty because the last thing the new church wants to do is invite the community in.
Back when we were Negroes, we didn’t have to be convinced that education was the key that opened the lock of success, but now that we’re African-Americans, more than 50 percent of our children fail to graduate high school. In Bibb County last year, the system had a dropout rate of 53.4 percent.
Back when we were Negroes, the last thing a young woman wanted to look like was a harlot and a young man a thug, but now that we’re African-Americans, many of our young girls dress like hootchie mamas and our young boys imitate penitentiary custom and wear their pants below the butt line.
If I could reverse all of the above by trading the term “African-American” for “Negro,” what do you think I’d do?

Freedom Isn't FREE!

Freedom isn’t FREE: 2 or 3 times a year Congress gives us HOT BUTTON issues. How many issues do Congress vote on each year. We’re divided by those 2 or 3 issues into, Democrats or Republicans; Progressive or Conservative; left or right; Black or White. While we’re fighting each other, Congress gives Billions $$$ to the rich. From the Revolution to 1980 how many Millionaires and Billionaires were there; from 1980 to present, how many? We have not experienced an intellectual revolution. However, “GOD please help the poor, because the rich sho know how to steal.” [Sic]Write your post here.

Yesterday, my legal brief was docketed with theU.S. 11 Circuit Court of Appeals. Last week Ifile a motion for an injunction with the samecourt. The motion asks the court to enjoin the"government" that "they" are prevented fromengaging in the criminal conduct that has prevented this case from moving forward. Howthe court rules will give me an indication as tothe posture of the court concerning this case. We’re laying the foundation for a major rallyat the court in support of the case.e your post here.

On the 28 day of March, Judge Marcia Howard, US Federal District Court, Middle District of Florida, dismissed the complain. Judge Howard threw me a "bone" that has a value of a few million dollars. However, given the nature of this case, I have no interest in a few million dollars. I will file an appeal with the US Court of Appeal for the 11 Circuit, on or before May 25, 2012.

Letter From A Jacksonville Jail

Letter From A Jacksonville Jail

I cannot control how I am perceived, only how I am presented. For the record, I refuse to be the Defendants’ or this Court’s “nigger.” This judge’s youth spared her from the ugly truths of our time past. The word “nigger” was representative of our horrific disparate treatment. One need only  open the coffin of Emmett Till to understand the substantive nature of “nigger,” there is no procedural “nigger.” When this judge turns a blind eye to the injustices enumerated in this case, the treatment is substantive, therefore, by definition the court has minimized the irreparable harm done to the judicial system and relegated me to no more than the “Spook Who Sat By The Door.”  The cage in which I am jailed, in many ways consumes my body. But, my mind will expand into the intellectual crevices of our society until “Lady Justice” no longer covers her eyes from shame, but rather because, justice is no longer measured by rich or poor, Black or White.

Rev. Vernon Johns was Pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church from 1947-1952, and father of the civil rights movement. Rev. Johns was consider radical and a threat to the white establishment, therefore a threat to Blacks. He was ousted from the Church and replaced by a little known preacher the Church found to be more acceptable: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There are those who debate whether “I Have A Dream” or “Letter From A Birmingham Jail” is Dr. King’s greatest speech. I do not entertain the debate, my life’s influence comes from a speech long forgotten.

Over the past 45 years of my life my favorite quote was paraphrased from Dr. King: “A man who has not found something worth dying for, does not have a life worth living.” This excerpt was taken from Dr. King’s speech:
“If a man is thirty-six (36) years old as I happen to be, and some great truth stands before the door of his life, or some great opportunity to stand up for that which is right and that which is just, and he refuses to stand up because he wants to live a little longer or he is afraid his home will be bombed or he is afraid he will lose his job or he is afraid he will be shot or beat down by state troopers, he may go on and live until he is eighty (80), but he is as dead at thirty-six (36) as he would be at eighty (80), and the cessation of breathing in his life is merely the belated announcement of an earlier death of the sprit: he died a long time ago.”

From my cell I can see clearly: an rightful “heir” to the stolen art, lives on $450 per month Social Security, while the Defendants enjoy $50 Billion of stolen art ... individuals who have given their lives to shape the Black intellectual discourse, cheated by the Justice Department’s placement and protections of informants: William “Bill” Cosby, Dr. David Driskell, Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga), ... a former US President and US Congressmen, being corrupted at the direction of the Justice Department: each and every act is sanctioned by the Board of Regents, Smithsonian Institution,  using Director Elizabeth Broun ... Little Black boys and little Black girls, who do not have a chance in the world because their future is distributed among the rich and powerful.
I sit here not because it is a room with a view, but rather history resides within. If your existence does not encompass the rich and powerful, justice is elusive under the worst of circumstances and her greeting luke warm under the best of circumstances. She has disdain for the meek, and the mild need not apply. But, when death and destruction becomes the order of the day, She stands tall and take notice. They dare not leave me lifeless in this retched cell for fear of condemnation. Nonetheless, condemnation will come because the choice of sustenance is mine. Therefore, justice has no choice but to submit to humility and do what is just and proper.
